Simple Message Ministries

Welcome to Simple Message Ministries. We hope that you will take a few minutes to
look a little closer at this unique ministry. It was started in obedience to the Lord Jesus
Christ, for the purpose of taking the Gospel to our Nation's Police Officers. Law
Enforcement agencies throughout the United States consist of nearly 1 million men
and women, who are called to confront evil on a daily basis. The role of a police
officer can take a serious toll on a person because of the things they routinely see, the
stress they endure, and the hours they work. These are a few of the reasons that
lead to some disturbing statistics concerning suicide, shortened life expectancy, and
divorce. We believe the answer to these issues is found in a relationship with Jesus
Christ.

Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy
laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek
and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my
burden is light". This is the simple message we are taking to officers across the
country. As we do this, we also help churches understand some of the difficulties that
the officers in their communities face, and encourage them to pray for and support
them.

These officers, as well as their families endure many difficulties to keep us safe, and
as a result they may seem harsh, or calloused. When negative media exposure is
added to that, it leaves many people with an incorrect view of what police officers are
truly like. We ask people to think of the person behind the badge, and to remember
that they are ordinary people who are called to an extraordinary task. We also
encourage you not to rush into judgement against police officers, for things like a
video on TV showing disturbing actions. We certainly do not condone an officer
crossing the line, but many times they are judged without all the facts. Unfortunately, a
short video clip is often shown, while the events leading up to what happened are left
out. Every time you hear of a police officer who has been accused of crossing the
line, pray for them and their families, because they are likely facing severe criticism
from many directions, whether it's justified or not. Also, pray that the truth of the
situation will be known, and remember the one million other officers who we don't hear
about, who are faithfully, and professionally carrying out their duties.
